Eligibility of Members
The Following shall be active members of the PSN:
a) Fellows of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan (FCPS) in the specialty of Neurology, practicing, Neurology.
b) Members/Fellows of the Royal College of Physicians of UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia/New Zealand or Canada, practicing Neurology.
c). Diplomate American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology.
d) Holders of postgraduate degree in Neurology (MD, DM, PhD) from an accredited university anywhere in the World.
All active members shall be entitled to vote in the affairs of the Pakistan Society of Neurology (PSN) and hold office of the Society, provided they have fully paid the Society’s annual membership and other dues.
Categories Of Membership
i. Founding Member
All subscribers of the initial Memorandum of Association of the Society are the Founding Members of the Society and will be pay a token membership fees amounting to Rupees 1,000/-. The founding members will form the initial Executive Committee of the Society.
ii. Executive Members
The Executive Committee, at its sole discretion, may invite an individual who should be neurologist to become an Executive Member of the Society, provided the individual is willing to pay an annual subscription fee of Rupees 5,000 per annum.
iii. Honorary Members
The Executive Committee, at its sole discretion, may invite an individual who has distinguished himself in social work or rendered valuable services to the Society to become an Honorary Member of the Society.
iv. Co-opted Members
The Executive Committee can co-opt members for special purpose or purposes. They may remain members by virtue of their office/designation and may participate in the Executive Committee for a specified period, which shall be decided by the Executive Committee.
v. Associate Members
The following shall be eligible to become Associate members of the Society upon the recommendation of at least two active members of the Society and approval of the Central Executive Council.
a) Fellows of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan in specialties other than Neurology.
b) Members/ Fellows of the Royal College of Physicians of UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia/New Zealand or Canada, not practicing Neurology.
c) Board Eligibility or Certification in any one of the American Boards of Medical specialties, other than Neurology.
d) Holders of postgraduate’s degree (MD, DM, PhD) from an accredited University anywhere in the World in specialty other than Neurology.
e) Holders of DCN (Diploma in Clinical Neurology)
f) Any friend of the Society.
Associates members shall be non voting members and shall not hold office of the Society.
They shall have full privileges of membership, provided they paid their membership fees/dues.
